Khatyn is a memorial site for the Belarusian civilians who perished during the Great Patriotic War. This memory unites people of different countries, cultures, faiths, and ages in their desire to live in peace and harmony.
We invite everyone to experience the Memorial Complex “Khatyn” from a different perspective on this day—in the evening, when the sun sets and the once-ordinary little Belarusian village Khatyn is bathed in a red glow. People have been gone here for 83 years, but their memory is immortal. Hundreds of people come here every day to understand the fragility of human life, the importance of cherishing it, and the price we paid for peace in our land.
As part of this campaign, we offer our visitors a tour of the museum and the open-air section of the memorial, as well as participation in commemorative events and workshops.
Tours are available by appointment.
