Delegations from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan visited the memorial complex “Khatyn”

On January 25, 2025, the memorial complex “Khatyn” was visited by delegations from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, consisting of representatives of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums, consisting of:

  • Nurzhan Shaildabekova, Chairperson of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Abdyzhapar Bekmatov, member of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Meikinbek Abdaliev, member of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • Makhabat Kozhokeeva, Head of the Department for the Organization of Elections of the administrative office the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic; 
  • Nizamkhodjaev Zayniddin, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • Rakhimova Gulnoza, member of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • Farmanov Alexander, member of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • Kilichev Nodirjon, expert of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Delegations arrived in the country as international observers at the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

During the visit, the employees of the complex conducted excursions for the delegations around the museum and the memorial complex. The delegations laid flowers at the monument "Unconquered Man" and the Eternal Flame. They honored the memory of all the victims of the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence. In the guest book, the members of the delegations left words of condolence to the Belarusian people and gratitude to the staff of the complex, noting the importance of preserving the memory of the tragic events of the past in order to preserve peace in the future.

"Blessed memory to all the victims of the war on Belarusian land and in the world. The memorial in Khatyn reflects the pain of the loss of lives and reminds us all that we must make every effort for peace and life on earth. Thank you!" Nurzhan Shaildabekova wrote in the guestbook.
