On February 8, on the Day of the Young Anti-Fascist Hero, the educatees of the military-patriotic club "Honor" together with their parents and employees of Leninsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk visited the memorial complex "Khatyn". This memorial site, symbolizing the tragedy of the civilian population, has become an important point in the patriotic education of youth.

The excursion began with the guide telling about the terrible events that took place in Khatyn in 1943. The children learned about the fate of the villagers, destroyed by a punitive detachment, and about the feat of those who fought for the freedom of their Motherland. The educatees visited the memorial and museum, opened in 2023 for the 80th anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy. The museum left a deep mark in the hearts of young patriots, reminding them of the value of peace and the need to remember the lessons of history.

During the trip, the educatees of the “Honor” club and their parents honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Eternal Flame.

Apanovich Vladimir, head of the military-patriotic club "Honor", emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and passing it on to new generations. He noted that such events form respect for the heroism of their ancestors in young people and contribute to the development of a sense of responsibility for the future of their country. It is important to remember that the feat of heroes is alive as long as we honor it and pass on knowledge about it to future generations!

Following the trip, the children shared their impressions, noting that visiting Khatyn was an important and significant event for them.
