Russian delegation included Andrei Sidorov, the author and organizer of the project, pilot-cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense Rafael Timoshev, Chairman of the Public Council Commission Igor Chernyak and Secretary of the Public Council Vladislav Sinkevich.
The guests got acquainted with the museum exposition and the memorial complex, laid flowers at the Eternal Flame, the place of memory of every third Belarusian who died. They also visited the restored Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Andrei Sidorov noted that the protection of the historical heritage of fraternal peoples is our common duty.
The project presented works by young artists, photographs from space and creations by artists. In 2025, exhibitions will be held simultaneously in Russia and Belarus, with each collection containing 80 paintings. A video communication session Russia-ISS-Belarus is planned for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, and the winners' drawings will be sent into space to be presented on board the ISS.
The participants of the event expressed gratitude to the Main Directorate of Culture of Minsk Regional Executive Committee, the administration and staff of the memorial for the careful preservation of the historical memory that unites the peoples of Russia and Belarus.
