The young guys were given a tour of the museum and memorial complex. They listened attentively - about the tragedy of Khatyn village, about the fates of people, about how difficult it was to preserve a human face during the years of inhumanity. They talked about heroes and traitors, about the choice that everyone faced during the war, and about why it is so important to remember at what price the Victory was achieved!
The children were not indifferent. They shared stories about their native lands - about places in Gomel and Grodno regions, where villages also burned during the war, where terrible events took place that left a deep mark in the memory of Belarusians. Many asked questions - thoughtful, serious. It was clear: it was really important for them to understand, to feel, to realize.
It was especially joyful to watch how the girls - random visitors to the complex - looked with interest at the fit, self-confident guys in uniform. And there was something very simple, human in this: respect, admiration and, perhaps, even a little pride for our defenders - strong, well-mannered, real!
Every day they train, keep in practice, learn to be a reliable support for their country. And at such moments you understand: history is not somewhere out there, in the past. It is in us, in our memory, in the actions of today. And peace and quiet on Belarusian soil are truly in reliable hands.
We are proud of you, guys. Thank you for your service, for your concern, for your readiness to stand guard over the world.
"Nobody but us! Duty. Honor. Fatherland." - not just words, but the meaning and pride of every soldier of military unit 3214.
