It was not just a tour – it was a touch of pain and fortitude, of a memory that cannot be forgotten. Step by step, walking through the memorial complex, the guests seemed to live through the terrible tragedy as if it were their own. Each bell, each memorial sign echoed in the heart with a dull echo of suffering and courage.
A special, truly touching moment was the meeting in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God. The rector of the temple, Archpriest Pavel Yatsukovich warmly welcomed the guests. Here, lighting candles, they honored the memory of all who fell during the Great Patriotic War. Prayer and candlelight became a symbol not only of grief, but also of hope - that such a thing will not happen again.
At the end of this trip, the participants left a note in the Book of Honorary Visitors. They expressed words of gratitude, respect and recognition to the staff of the memorial complex and thanked them for their great contribution to the preservation of our common historical memory.
Khatyn is not only a reminder of the terrible price of war. It is a cry of memory that we must preserve and pass on to future generations!
