From May 5 to 11, 2025, a joint virtual exhibition project "The Tragedy in Khatsun Village and the Occupation Regime in Bryansk Region" was held in the museum's lobby on the territory of Memorial Complex “Khatyn”. This project became another reminder of the crimes of Nazism and the price our peoples paid for the Victory.
Memorial Complex “Khatsun”, opened in 2011, is dedicated to the memory of Bryansk region civilians killed by the Nazis. It has become a symbol of all the burned villages of Russia. The museum's exposition includes a map of destroyed settlements, as well as electronic materials telling about the atrocities of the occupation regime in 22 regions of the country.
The exhibition featured documentaries: "No Statute of Limitations. Khatsun" (2022) and the newsreel "Our Land" (1977). These materials recalled the scale of the genocide and emphasized that such crimes cannot have a statute of limitations.
We express our gratitude to the staff of memorial complex “Khatsun” (branch of Bryansk State Museum of Local History) for the materials provided and hope for continued cooperation.
Such projects are not only a tribute to the past, but also an important contribution to preserving the unity of our peoples. The war is a thing of the past, but the feat is eternal. We will keep it in our hearts as a symbol of courage, unity and strength of spirit!
