The official delegation of regional structure heads, headed by the Chairman of Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexei Kushnarenko, laid flowers at the monument "Unconquered Man" and the Eternal Flame, joining the nationwide memorial event. At these moments, the entire country bowed its heads in respect for the feat and sacrifices of the war generation.

"June 22 is a particularly sad date in our history," noted Alexey Kushnarenko. "84 years ago, the fascist invaders treacherously attacked our country, causing innumerable suffering. In Minsk region alone, 71 settlements were destroyed, including Khatyn. But our people stood firm and won. Today, standing at this sacred fire, we once again confirm: the memory of the war and its lessons will live forever," noted Alexey Kushnarenko.
The requiem meeting in Khatyn became part of the all-Belarusian memorial events that united the country in a single burst of memory. Khatyn, as a symbol of national tragedy and courage, continues to be a place where everyone can realize the value of peace and pay homage to the feat of their ancestors.
