"Roads of Victory": Journalists from CIS countries walk through sacred sites of memory

25.09.2025

On September 15, 2025, the international media tour of CIS news agencies, "Roads of Victory," began. It will feature journalists from state agencies in Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives from several Russian federal media outlets.

The route covers five cities in Russia and Belarus: Moscow, Brest, Minsk, St. Petersburg, and Volgograd. The first stops of the media tour—Moscow and Brest—offered participants the opportunity to see places where they could experience the living history of the Great Patriotic War.

"Journalists from CIS countries will be able to visit truly holy places," said Maria Zakharova, Director of  Russian Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Department, at a TASS press conference marking the project's launch. These words took on particular force on September 19, 2025, when the delegation visited memorial complex “Khatyn”.

Many journalists admitted that tears welled up in their eyes, and at the same time, they felt the urge to bring their children here so they could also see and understand the price of peace. "Time stands still here, and my heart aches for all who perished," the media representatives shared.

In the Book of Distinguished Guests, journalists left reviews of their visit to the memorial and museum, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to experience history that unites peoples and reminds us of the value of human life.

The international media tour "Roads of Victory" was organized by TASS with the assistance of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the BELTA news agency.
