As part of an official visit to the Republic of Belarus, a high-ranking delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, led by Princess Muna bint Fahd al-Said, a prominent figure in education, visited Memorial Complex “Khatyn”.

Memorial Complex “Khatyn” is an iconic symbol of the suffering of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. This place of remembrance is home to the world's only Village Cemetery, and an Eternal Flame burns in memory of the victims of Nazi terror. The museum's unique exhibition conveys the atmosphere of fear and pain experienced by the residents of occupied Belarus.

During the visit, the guests honored the memory of civilians who died during the Great Patriotic War by laying flowers at the sculpture of the Unconquered Man and the Eternal Flame.

The delegation was given a tour of the memorial grounds and museum.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Princess of Oman left a comment in the Guest Book, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to learn about the history and memory of the Belarusian people.
