During the guided tour, guests were introduced to the museum's unique exhibition, which chronicles the events of the Great Patriotic War in Belarus. The delegation observed a moment of silence in memory of all those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
At the open-air memorial complex, guests laid flowers at the "Unconquered" sculpture as a sign of respect for the eternal memory of the innocent victims of the war.
As the head of the delegation, Yerlan Koshanov, noted: "Khatyn is a special place for everyone, known and remembered from their school years."
The guests expressed their gratitude to the director and staff of the memorial for their work preserving the memory of the history of the Great Patriotic War. This memory is shared by our peoples. Tens of thousands of soldiers from Kazakhstan died in the line of duty on Belarusian land. More than 500 Kazakhstanis were awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, 84 of them for the liberation of Belarus.
The memory of Belarusians and Kazakhstanis who fought shoulder to shoulder on the front lines and died during the Great Patriotic War is the fundamental basis of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Belarus and Kazakhstan today.
