Galina Levina is an architect, scientific director of the reconstruction project of Loshitsa manor house (until 2007), the author of the first memorial complex in the republic - the Alley of the Righteous Among the Nations in Bobruisk, the building of the first Synagogue in modern Belarus, the author and co-author of unique objects of architectural and monumental art, laureate of the State Prize.
Today she proudly says that her teacher in the profession and in life was her father, Leonid Levin, an honored architect of Belarus, laureate of the Lenin and State Prizes, one of the creators of the memorial complex “Khatyn”.
Galina Levina shared her memories of her father, about what left a deep mark on her life. In her words, she once again emphasized the importance of preserving the original appearance of the memorial complex “Khatyn” and explained why this is so important for our future. Here, in Khatyn, every detail plays a big role. In every little thing, in every corner, the architects saw an artistic solution. It was especially noted that the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War should not only be preserved, but also passed on at a decent level among young people. The round table discussed issues of further creative cooperation between MK "Khatyn" and Galina Levina. Projects for joint events were proposed. Galina Levina left a note in the book of honorary visitors of the memorial complex "Khatyn":
"Khatyn has always been and remains a personal story. Deep in feelings about the fate of Person during the war. Respectful to those who created the memorial. To each participant in its creation. Respectful to those who "protect" Khatyn - thanks to the museum staff. My heart always remains with Khatyn."
Galina Levina also noted that the memory of the Khatyn tragedy should remain alive and help maintain peace in today's world.
